Notice to CAM-POST Users
CAM-POST® V17 no longer supported as of March 31, 2011
ICAM Technologies Corporation is presently issuing its current release of CAM-POST® (Version 19) to all its customers that have subscribed to its Maintenance & Support Program.
Please be advised that ICAM will only maintain and provide technical support services to customers on the current version of CAM-POST and the prior edition. Subsequently, with the recent dissemination of CAM-POST V18, ICAM will no longer provide updates and on-line technical support services to customers using CAM-POST V16 as of March 31, 2011.
It is therefore, recommended that all clients using older versions of CAM-POST upgrade to either V17 or V18 to take full advantage of the enhancements and advanced optimization features offered in more recent CAM-POST releases.
Building on advanced "forward-looking" features such as path planning and rotary axes pre-positioning / winding that were developed to enhance the machining process while avoiding dwell marks, over-traveling and rotary repositioning, CAM-POST V19 offers an array of new features to its end-users including:
- Rotary head support for 5-axis Mill / Turn machines
- New polar interpolation (TRANSMIT, G12.1.) and emulation support for Mill / Turn and Mill machines
- Rotary axis "singular positioning" optimization to avoid linear axis over-traveling conditions
- Automatic switching between Cartesian (xyz) and Polar (zxc) to avoid linear axis over-traveling
ICAM's complete NC manufacturing product line including CAM-POST V19 is now available for 32 and 64-bit processors and supports Windows Vista®.
